NMIMS Bengaluru: Empowering Future Global Leaders through the Global Futures Programme

NMIMS Bengaluru, in collaboration with the University of Bristol and Common Purpose, was proud to present the Global Futures Programme. This intercultural and career-building initiative offered students a unique opportunity to delve deep into the city of Bangalore, gaining practical knowledge and invaluable insights into the dynamics of leadership and change.

The Global Futures Programme was designed to equip students with the skills, mindset, and global perspective needed to excel in an increasingly interconnected world. Through a series of engaging activities and interactions, participants had the chance to broaden their horizons, explore diverse perspectives, and enhance their employability skills.

Common Purpose, a globally renowned not-for-profit organization, was instrumental in shaping the programme's content and delivery. With their expertise in leadership development, Common Purpose ensured that participants received compelling and transformative experiences, enabling them to navigate cultural, institutional, and social boundaries effectively.

NMIMS Bengaluru's Role:

NMIMS Bengaluru took great pride in facilitating the Global Futures Programme, providing a conducive learning environment and logistical support for seamless execution. Our world-class campus in Banerghatta, Bangalore, served as the hub for programme activities, enabling participants to engage with fellow students from the University of Bristol.

City Immersion and Cultural Understanding:

The programme offered a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the vibrant city of Bangalore. Through visits to organizations and communities, participants gained firsthand insights into the city's topics, opportunities, issues, and challenges. This experiential learning approach enabled a comprehensive understanding of how decisions were made, change happened, and leadership was practised in various sectors.

Interaction with Senior Leaders:

As part of the programme, students had the privilege of engaging with a diverse range of senior leaders from public, private, and not-for-profit organizations. These interactions provided an invaluable platform to learn from experienced professionals, understand their decision-making processes, and gain inspiration from their leadership journeys.

Employability Skills and Future Readiness:

The Global Futures Programme also focused on equipping participants with key employability skills essential for success in today's workplace. Through interactive sessions and workshops, students developed skills such as critical thinking, effective communication, problem-solving, and adaptability. These skills were vital for navigating the complexities of the global job market and fostering a competitive edge.

NMIMS Bengaluru was honoured to have partnered with the University of Bristol and Common Purpose in delivering the Global Futures Programme. We were committed to providing an enriching and transformative experience for all participants, empowering them to become future global leaders. By immersing themselves in Bangalore's culture, engaging with senior leaders, and enhancing their employability skills, students graduated from the programme equipped with a broader perspective, deeper insights, and increased confidence to make a positive impact in an interconnected world.
