Paramarsh – The Strategy & Consulting Consortium

Strategy is a singular thing; there is one strategy for a given business — not a set of strategies. It is one integrated set of choices: what is our winning aspiration; where will we play; how will we win; what capabilities need to be in place; and what management systems must be instituted? Paramarsh is a student-run organization at NMIMS Bengaluru dedicated to educating the NMIMS community about the strategy and consulting industry. It aims to appreciate the viewpoint experts can bring through their insights, experiences & lessons learnt in the industry and also encourages students to think about real business problems. It is led by a brilliant & hardworking team instils a sense of comradery and togetherness that makes the club more of a family.

Event Highlights:

1)War of Division

War of Division was the first event of Paramarsh which had a face-off among the 4 divisions of the MBA11 Batch. The 4 divisions had to submit a video each themed- Chilling in Quarantine & Online Classes Behind-the-Scenes. This video was uploaded on Paramarsh’s Instagram Handel and the video that had maximum like and votes from the senior team was announced the winner. Division-D was declared as the winner.

2)PRAGYAN 1.0

Paramarsh hosted the first webinar of its series, PRAGYAN. The theme of the webinar was ‘Introduction to consulting’. This event was held in collaboration with SEEKAMENTOR. Piyush Mittal, an IIM Bangalore alumnus, currently working with PwC enlightened the students with his great insights on consulting, tips on solving case studies and sailing through consulting interviews.

He also spoke about the correct approach to guestimates and applying that framework to different situations. Mr Sahil Baid the founder of SEEKAMENTOR and an alumnus of IIM Bangalore also graced the event with his presence shared his valuable insights on the topic.

3)PRAGYAN 2.0

In the second edition of PRAGYAN, Team Paramarsh collaborated with NavKiran and was pleased to host Mr. Sattam Kumar Datta, Manager, Saint Gobain Abrasives and an IIM-A alumnus and Ms. Geetika Kwatra, Associate Vice-President, NatWest Group and an XLRI alumnus. The theme of the webinar was 'College to Corporate' and the session revolved around how students should prepare for interviews. Students were told how to best answer hygiene questions and the qualities and attributes of a good answer in interviews. Insights were also given on how to stand out with the most common questions and the trend on the behavioural style of questions in interviews.

4)Strategy Conclave

Paramarsh: The Strategy and Consulting Consortium this year organised its flagship event, the sixth edition of Strategy Conclave (SC 2021) that included esteemed keynote speakers from varied backgrounds sharing their valuable insights on the topic "Crossroads of Modern World: Technology and Democracy”. Some of the Notable guests were Mr. Akshat Mohindra, Global Account Manager- CISCO, Mr. Praveen Sharma, Marketing and Growth Hacking Manager- EY, Mr. Sushant Dayal, Category Head for Nutrition- Amway, Ms. Bindiya Bhatt, Director-Myntra, Mr. Ipsit Bibhudarshi, Zonal Service Marketing Manager- Maruti Suzuki, Ms. Niharica Singh, Senior Principal, Organizational Development- Infosys. It was then followed by a panel discussion by the current leaders at top-of-the line companies like Amway, E&Y, Myntra, CISCO, Maruti Suzuki and Infosys to enlightened students with their views.

The event was conducted in collaboration with PinkWoolf who delivered skincare products to each of our speakers.
