About the Club

Anveshan – The Research Club of NMIMS, Bengaluru aims to provide a platform to those who have a natural inclination towards research. It develops its members to grow intellectually, thereby, giving them an edge over the others. The club has gained great recognition both within NMIMS and outside it, due to its ability to churn the best results. It has successfully conducted two International Conferences on Economics and Finance and has already moved forward to nourish the skill sets of the club members by giving them proper guidance throughout the year.

Works undertaken by the Club:

• NMIMS Bangalore in collaboration with The Indian Econometric Society hosted the ‘International Conference on Economics and Finance (ICEF)’ 2019. Anveshan- the Research Club of NMIMS Bangalore took pride in hosting this grand event where professors and researchers across the world presented their papers at the conference.
• The Club conducted a PAN India Case-Writing competition, receiving participation from all the top B-Schools in India.
• The Club conducted Abhivyakt - a Pan India 3-slider competition, receiving participation from various colleges in India.
• The club members prepared various Research Diaries on different companies and posted on the social media platforms for spreading awareness and preparing the batch for the Placements.
• The club members prepared various Articles on important topics and circulated among the whole batch to prepare the batch for the Summer Internship Placements.
• The club prepared its members for Summer Internships and Final Placements with the help of mock interviews and guidance from club mentors.
• The club mentor and the senior team of the club provided guidance to students to write research papers and publish them on renowned forums, journals and research publications.

Plans for this year

• Conducting our flagship event: SVKM’s NMIMS, International Conference on Economics and Finance – III (ICEF III) with the top researchers presenting their work from across the world. Please visit https://nmimsbengaluru.org/international-conference/ for more details.
• Guiding the club members to publish a research paper in any area of their choice.
• Mentor-mentee career guidance program within the club among junior and senior members according to specialisation.
• Publish Research Articles under different domains on the club’s linked-in and facebook page to get in touch with the corporates. We have planned to collaborate with Knowesis Club to get the best articles on the college magazine.
• Conduct various inter and intra-college events like Case Solving Competition, Research Poster Presentation etc. (During Nityaksh Fest)
• Organizing and conducting workshops for the students to get them aligned with the industry requirements.
